So after asking various people and getting various feedback, I have decided that I would indeed like to use green for the Baltimore Album Quilt. I've even found the perfect shade - on one of my daughter's teddy bears. The tie and the 'pads' of the bears paws are a very deep emerald green. So I have been pondering for a while about doing a quilt completely by hand. Kurt will be surprised by this because I don't think I've even mentioned this to him.
